Par, neither the Banksy installation nor my predicament are new. ... not that I intend to rain on your parade or anything... I've been getting that vote of confidence a fair bit lately, but still to hear that my prof really said this stuff (and not just "so and so's the type of person who doesn't meet with just anyone") made my stomach do flips.
Okay, by my saying the Banksy installation isn't new ... what I mean is that the idea of guerilla art installations at galleries isn't a new thing. And, actually, I think Banksy installing stuff isn't new either, come to think of it... he did a spread in Flaunt a few years ago, and even provided the stencil for his famous rat. (and a button to go with it) and I think they mentioned something about his guerilla art shows. I still love the outdoor displays, far more entertaining... especially "BORING" though i'm not too keen on the cows, sheep and pigs, they probably didn't appreciate being painted on, especially with spray paint around the eyes.
okay, i'll stop typing now.

I'm unisolatable! (Sp?) Mwhahahah! Now just as in scanner darkly, those damn feds will never be able to find me! Yah! No scramble suit either! (Read the book by PKD and you'll understand.)

Sweet. Banksy installed his own art, "complete with authorative name plaque and explanation" at New York's four most prestigious museums.

Man, who writes a search that doesn't let you isolate Al and AD?? I say we go after the bastard.
Of course, depending on what sort of information you're going for, I'm not sure about the accuracy of that analysis; I could put up three pages worth of pictures and change my rank. But it's interesting nonetheless.
Alison, I'm not sure I understand your *cough* paragraph of unusually disconnect verbosity *cough*, but, assuming I do understand, congratulations. Welcome to the world of more difficult decisions, where life-altering options are not simply imagined, but are actually concrete. If you're still around the entrance, I think I dropped my gloves there, and I'd be much obliged to have them returned to me.

love the william gibson/x-files association there... very entertaining
so, on another note, I don't even know how to say this, I think I turned every colour imaginable today. from the intense frustration (woo hoo, can't tell you, must remain confidential) and disgust (park planning gong show) to holy shit surprise and joy - i think....
so here's the deal: i e-mailed my prof... the same one i've been mentioning a lot lately. and basically said that though I wanted to do this, I wasn't ready. but to please keep me in mind... and also mentioned that I'd been talking with another faculty member (my future employer for May) about it. So... my prof asked my employer why it was that I wasn't ready to do this, and essentially told my employer (if i'm getting this right) that they really want me to work for them. um, holy shit. Needless to say, I think I blanched and then turned red, and probably would've squealed if I wasn't careful.
but thinking over how I reacted, there truly wasn't as much crush stuff as there was desire to work on the project. I think I know where i'm going with this now. i'll just have to get over the crush side of things and work on the rest, because the rest is truly what i'm most interested in. i mean, come on, how often do you get the opportunity of your dreams essentially handed to you because they really want you to work with them? (and they haven't seen my cv, nor transcripts, so they're going off of, um, conversations with me and whomever else they've talked to)

Oh, and Duke only has 7 posts, so he should be farther to the right.
perhaps I shouldn't have included him...

I was wondering about average post length, who's are the longest and who's are the shortest...
So I did a pseudo-statistical analysis based on everyones last 25 posts and compared the size of my scrollbar. Large scrollbar corresponds with small posts, and vice versa.
The results are - from shortest post-length to longest:
Beck, Duke, Jess, Mary, Leo, Pam, Tony, Ed, Par, Jere, Alison, Pete, Andy, Eric, Taylor
AD and Al could not be included as I couldn't isolate their last 25 posts.

Thanks Par! I think I'm getting the hang of it. I probally don't need a #include function, do I? Well back to programing.
