Hey guys,
I saw The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy tonight, and it's safe to say that it will not disappoint any of you. I'm not sure what that whiney reviewer was talking about, because there's plenty of dialogue straight from the novel. Actually movie takes a lot from both the novel and the BBC TV series, with some notable sets and characters from the TV series either re-created or re-used (keep an eye out for the old-skool Marvin).
I'll admit, there were a few liberties taken when translated to film, but nothing worse than something like Spiderman (and I don’t think Spiderman was bad at all). Some things are word for word from the original scripts, and other things have been tweaked to work on the big screen. It's defiantly "Hitchhikers the movie," not "Hitchhikers you might as well read the books anyway because all we've done is read word for word from the novels and walk around a bit to remind you it's a movie." It’s just generally a good movie, even if there are some changes here and there.
But yeah, that's my mini review as someone who reads the books religiously, bought the BBC TV series the day it came out on DVD, and owns almost everything Douglas Adams has ever written because of it.

Hey Jesse, yeah you probably came while we were taking stuff to AD's house. And again the lack of phone/internet hindered the process.
Thanx anyway though, everything got done I'm still unpacking but it's all here.
Phone should be restored tomorrow.

The Fifth Estate on Fox News.
So good, it elicited this response from O'Reilly:
By distorting facts and pounding a relentless anti-American drum, the CBC has convinced millions that the USA is the bad guy in the War on Terror. That could lead to millions of deaths, sir, just as Nazi propaganda did.
Right. I'm not saying you guys are Nazis, but look how the US kicked their asses. Don't want to imply anything about what happens to anti-American propagandists. I'm just stating a fact. Take it how you will. Just stating a fact.

If you're implying that I made some great effort to remember today, that wasn't the case. Alison asked last night, and I just had her call me this morning if she still needed someone to help her out.

Gah!
Thank Todd for smart people like Paras.
Alison I'm so sorry for forgetting about you. I remembered yesterday afternoon, but by the time I went to bed I had forgotten so I didn't set my alarm clock and didn't remember until about noon today. On top of that I had no phone or internets so there was no way for you (or anyone else for that matter) reminding me...
Again I'm really, really sorry. I did have every intention of driving you.
I'm glad you got there though.
In other news, the internets are up here, still no phone, but this works just as well if not better.
Communication is great.
