hahaha, AL: don't lie! You TOTALLY made it to the LIME show! Thanks all you guys for coming out! I know it was a totally shitty show and there were hardly any people there anymore by the time we played, but you guys totally made it worthwhile for us, AND you helped out James and Tracy from the sharktank. Thanks soooo much guys!!! Also, extra special thanks to Andy for the super rad SHARKNIFE!!! That was fuckin' incredible. You guys are the best. But I should totally get to sleep now since I have to be at work in less than 4 hours.
NITE!

If anyone is reading this right now then I have failed to go to the Lime concert. Last minute family obligations and lack of me owning my own car has seen to it that I won't be going tonight.

Yeah I saw that Fifth Estate episode a few months ago. Coulter and O'Reily seem to be very opinionated and only get there way by yelling and lying so much that everything they say seems true. I can't stand O'Reily who yells at everyone and they back down. I swear the only way to win a arguement with that guy is to either beat the tar out of him and then do a interview, or have a stack of documents and evidence so thick that he has to back down. Well I'm probally not a good person to be a candidate for a journalist.

Actually, the reason I brought it up was because the Fifth Estate was nice enough to post the whole documentary online. And because I think O'Reilly and Coulter are hilarious.
That site you link to with Ann Coulter's response has this long discussion about how, technically, Canadians went to Vietnam and how there were Canadian troops in Iraq. The point of that part of the interview, though, seems completely lost. Her premise was that Canada used to be a good friend, and sent troops to Vietnam. Her backtracking was "well, there were Canadians that served in Vietnam." These two are not the same thing. The former implies government policy, declaration of war, national commitment, etc. Saying that Canada helped out with Vietnam is like saying that the US was involved in World War II beginning in 1939. Americans were involved, but for the US, the war didn't start until 1941.
Of course, this is why she wins. She makes some ridiculous claim, backpeddles to the edge of technical correctness, and, when people get sick of trying to keep up with the backpeddling, she smirks and says "I win", and somehow has defended the original ridiculous claim.
O'Reilly, on the other hand, is just an egomaniacal nut. He believes himself to be a war hero (for reporting from the field), an award-winning journalist (because Inside Edition, which he used to host, won an award after he left), an economic power (because he thinks he single-handedly destroyed France's economy), and a crusader for the little guy (because he's from the poor part of Manhattan.) I think he even once claimed he was a league leading placekicker with his college football team, even though football was a club activity (not a varsity sport) at his college when he was there, and no one kept any records of the club games. Never mind that he makes up most of what he says.
As for Crossfire, it's still on for the time being, but Tucker isn't on it. I do give Tucker credit, though, in that he is a smart, analytical, realistic guy (I've seen him in other venues being more fair to/critical of both sides in the US). This might make him worse, though, because this means he knows when he's bullshitting. He also brings out the asshole when it suits what he's on TV to do (ie. antagonize Paul Begala, piss off Carolyn Parrish, etc.)
