What's just as funny is the fact that it seems the host of the show, Matt Lauer agrees with you Par. For a guy who is hosting the show, he sure cut into it a lot on the Daily Show.

Along the same vein, The 19 Most Objectionable of the 100 Greatest Americans, in alphabetical order:
-Barbara Bush
-Laura Bush
-Hillary Clinton
-Tom Cruise
-John Edwards
-Brett Favre
-Mel Gibson
-Tom Hanks
-Michael Jackson
-Steve Jobs
-Michael Jordan
-Robert F. Kennedy
-Rush Limbaugh
-Madonna
-(Dr.) Phil McGraw
-Condaleeza (Condi) Rice
-Arnold Schwarzenegger
-Martha Stewart
-Pat Tillman
I mean, I can respect some of these people. But what has Arnold done that would make him one of the greatest? Starred in a few blockbuster movies? Had an election handed to him on a silver platter?
It's clearly not the "100 Most Famous Americans", because Tesla, Sagan, and Susan B. Anthony all made it. But can anyone look me in the eye and tell me that there are not at least 100 people in the history of that country (where, apparently, the only qualification is having lived in the US) that have accomplished more for the US or for humanity than the 19 mentioned above?
Granted, there's always controversy in lists like this. I mean, we had Jim Carrey and Mike Myers in our list. But for a country that has shaped the globe culturally, economically, politically, and militarily for almost 60 years, they can't find someone that knocks 'The guy who sang "Thriller"' or 'The guy from Texas who yells at people to get rid of their psychological problems' off the list?

Wow, how did Alexander Graham Bell not win the Greatest Canadian? I mean, not only did he make the top 10 here, but he's also on the list of top 100 Greatest Americans.
C'mon, people!

Well I'm graduating today and I plan to sever all old ties to my faculty as quick as possible. Starting with a certain someone who everytime I see them messes me up... In that case I have some good news to report! She has a boyfriend! Now I know beyond any doubt that she is taken and all these unresolved issues can now be laid to rest. How do I know she has a boyfriend? At the engineering breakfast she brought this guy with her. and:
1)He is white and followed he around(She is asian)
2)Definitly not her brother
3)Unless he turns out to be gay as well, we are all good to go.
Yep everything is starting to turn out well. Now if I can only get some other issues squared away then I would be set.

So Clark and I may have found a place. It's just east of 99th st... not really all that far from the old san-fran warehouse actually; it's close to Barb & Ernie's... and it's about 5 blocks away from Bryan's house (the guy who we recorded our album with). The place is abso-fucking-lutlely gorgeous! You should see this neighbourhood!!! I've never seen a place so beautiful... just tons of huge green trees everywhere. And the house itself is in amazing shape! The house HAS to be old to be in that neighbourhood and yet it still looks brand new. Hardwood floors, 2 rooms and a bathroom upstairs, one room downstairs. The garage is surprisingly large, and the yard is absolutely beautiful. $850/month with $850 damage deposit.
Pros:
1. brand new washer and dryer
2. comes with a lawn mower!
3. hardwood floors
4. big garage
5. really nice yard
6. beautiful neighbourhood
7. overhanging-roof behind the garage... so you can sit in your back yard and stay dry even in the rain!!!
8. I THINK they allow pets since there was a cat there
9. Also, there was a drumset in the basement which is an EXCELLENT sign
overall it's one of the nicest-looking houses I've seen.
Cons:
1. The only big con is that it's small; so that means we can't have giant-ass parties. But we can still definitely have a reasonable number of people over.
2. no dishwasher (but for me, that's kind of a pro because I prefer doing dishes by hand)
So yeah... I think we're gonna try and get it. Only thing is... it was advertised in the paper today and already there were 2 girls before us looking at it. I've just got a bad feeling that if the girls decide they want it, she's gonna choose them over us.
Oh well. It's not that big of a deal because it's actually the first house we've looked at, but damn is it ever nice. If we do manage to get it, we'll definitely be the envy of everyone.

You know what's worse than your sibling deciding that "the family" will do the landscaping for your new house?
Worse than him nobly declaring that he will take the brunt of the work?
Worse than him holding this fact over you before he even starts?
Worse than you being the one that actually does 90% of the landscaping work?
Worse than having to redo the same side of the house three times (two and a half of these times on your own)?
Worse than discovering that, upon laying the last paving stone, you are 2cm of space away from having it perfectly flush with the end of the walk?
Realizing that it's your own goddamn fault for starting the paving stone path 2cm further away from the other end than you had to.
Oh well, it's almost done now. I just have to settle two of the stones a little better, even out the rocks and redistribute some rocks to less covered parts of the yard, and it'll finally be done. And only 10 months overdue. (Not overbudget though because, well, taking on the work by yourself pays absolutely nothing.)
Oh yeah, and I have to figure out how to best guilt my brother about this. What do I need....?
