hey all! so here's the thing, i just realized that i leave for RockRidge Canyon (the Young Life camp both Eric and I go to as leaders every year). and you know what else i realized? I have 5 days to get together costumes for our volleyball tournament. and i have no ideas! so i'm asking for help. if any of you have ideas for an awesome volleyball costume that is 1) not sexually provocative, 2) inexpensive to put together for group of 5-6, and 3) easy to transport please let me know! email me, post here, whatever works best for you. Thank you!

in case you need examples in the past my cabin has gone as zombies, pirates, cowboys, the beastie boys from the sabatoge video, and flowers. thanks again!

oooh, this is some sweet information:

Calling this a hack is way too generous, but TheDamnBlog has a little tip for getting the most out of your next elevator ride. Apparently lots of elevators have an express mode that lets you override everyone else’s selections and go straight to the floor you’re going to. You just press “Door Close” and the button for your floor at the same time. Should work on most Otis elvators, as well as a few other models that are out there.

nice!!!

I might be spending more time at the RATT this semester than I had initially planned.

Hey Pam, that's awesome! What time will you be starting on Friday night? I totally need an end table for my bedroom, and probably a bunch of other stuff for my apartment. I was going to go to ikea, but if you have some sweet stuff, I'm totally there!

yeah... they did a 24-hour comic night at that new comic place about 2 months ago. The reason I remember that is because I didn't hear anything about it until the next day when this dude was like "man, you TOTALLY should've come! Where were you!?" And I'm like "doubleyooteehef are you talking about?!!". I fuckin missed it by like 10 hours. I was pissed.

When describing this book to a few people (and, by the way, if you want to borrow it, lemme know), I may have mentioned a McSweeney's piece about a choose-your-own-adventure about an awkward visit to a girlfriend's parents' place for a holiday. I've mentioned this a couple of times, though I don't remember exactly to whom. In any case, I wasn't entirely correct. It's not a choose-your-own-adventure. It's a Text-based Computer Game. And I think it's even better this way.
