Good news on the cigar front; I started talking to the guy in Burlington Tobacconists on whyte ave this afternoon and I asked him how the new law was affecting their sales. After a slow draw on his pipe, he carefully thought over his words as the whisps of smoke curled about his lips. "As you can see, we're technically breaking the law and have been doing so ever since it's come into effect. Until somebody says something that convinces us otherwise, we won't be putting away the pipes."

Good for those dudes. If a man can't walk into a fuckin tobacco shop and smoke a pipe or a cigar, then fuck this place. I've got a good feeling that while technically not exempt, the law will turn a blind eye to tabacco and cigar shops. And that's the way it really ought to be.

Hey Pete, I'd say get a cheaper one. Anything over 3 megapixels looks the same in standard picture size anyway. The only way you'd tell a difference is if you were getting the pics blown up to movie-poster size. Seems like with the new cameras you're just paying for more pixels that don't add any more quality for the average user. The newer ones are significantly smaller though if that's important.
This was taken on a 3.1 or 3.2 megapixel (don't remember for sure).

That's my 2 cents.
