Hey Tony, from what I hear, head office put Brian on a hiring freeze because he hired so many people in such a short amount of time. He's trying to fight it though because the people are needed; there's no shortage of work, and some of the people he hired last month are gone already. We'll see what happens, I'm sure he's not trying to screw you on purpose.

tay, youknow how Ian MacKaye at Coachella sucked for you? well Coachella sucked for him too:
MacKaye has pinpointed his own conversion to a concert he saw at Georgetown University as a 16-year-old. “I saw the Cramps there in January of 1979, he told online magazine CokemachineGlow. “One of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to in my life. Coachella, on the other hand, was not: “The guy who asked that question about the beer tent was one of the Jackass guys disguised in a mullet wig, he says. “I think they expected me to get mad.
from the Ian MacKaye vs Eon McKai article in the Washington City Paper
for those of you who don't know who Eon is, he's the guy that did that sweet ass Suicide Girls Louis XIV video i posted up awhile ago, and that rad Kill Girl Kill / Art Sluts series that cobrasnakers party to.

I know, I've been playing the hermit game a little too well lately. But next week, for sure, I'll stop in at Wunderbar to catch some of your dj-ing. And I'll have your copy of my 'Best of Junior High' compilation.
So it seems that my time at Culligan was over before it even began. I was supposed to start on Tuesday, but then I get a call from Brian saying that he wasn't allowed to hire me. Then he calls me again a bit later to say that I was hired, and that he'd phone back to set something up for either Wednesday or Thursday. And I still have yet to hear from him. Not that I still care by this point.
And yes, I have to agree that Talkie Walkie is an awesome album.
