You want to watch the Daily Show tonight. You want to see Jon Stewart and Christopher Hitchens in a very serious debate about Iraq.

Go now. You have half an hour (well, 45 minutes until the interview, I figure). Or download it from here.

seismic evolution: a mispelling. It should actually be "sizemic evolution". a reference to the growing size and hence laziness of their core audience in America.

Anyone know what a "seismic evolution" is? (Or, care to define it for kicks?) A warning: it came from a movie studio exec.

Here is another article about Alberta's surplus wealth... this one saying the Klein should show some initiative and invest in Canada for the sake of his own legacy.

And one I showed Paras before about the prof in Quebec that likes the sound of nationalizing the oil industry. Apparently he'll be running for the NDP...

The idea of revamping transfer payments is probably bang on. When the feds start making special deals with certain provinces and not others... and the deals are not taken into account when making the transfer calculations it will and is making things worse. Deals involving infrastructure, day-care and natural resources are a couple of the ones out there.

Par, I just wanted to say this: I really like how you never picked one of your two colour themes, and instead allow it to alternate between blue and green... quite nice.

Anyway, um... I can almost taste the end of my job... probably Saturday... oh, freedom! haha! I'm so tired, and we didn't work today... (roads too muddy to drive). here's hoping the rest will go quickly... and that I can come home and start planning my vacation, and see people, and sleep in a big bed, and not have really noisy neighbours, and sleep in... ah, to sleep in, that would be divine!

Pam, are you just having people out Saturday, or are you anticipating Sunday as well? I'm just curious as I might be able to swing by... if I can find my way there! Or perhaps I'll be out Pembina River way, still not sure.... but I'll try.
