a smattering of DFA1979 news:
eheck out:
mstrkrft
that was the remix team (comprising of Jesse from DFA1979 and Al-P from Girlsareshort - the producer of You're Woman...and remixer of Romantic Rights) responsible for that killer Panthers remix i posted up awhile back.
on their site they listed TWO MORE YEARS (brand spankin' new Bloc Party) as an upcoming remix project.
the site also lists this: LOVEHEART - DFA79 LP#2 COVER ALBUM PRODUCTION (TBA)
as part of that whole multi album release- tinymixtape was the only place i could dig up news on this:
"One version will be DFA's version, a second version will be a full band version led by Granger, and a third possible version will be another full band version with vocal duties led by the female-fronted Loveheart. "
according to Soviet Panda (some hipster dude possibly responsible for the DFA "RECORDS" livejournal) DeathFromAbove1979 may have a project in the future with the Foo Fighters as well as French House kingpin Alan Braxe

all i can say is, Holy Shit.

I loved Macbeth. He and his wonderful wife drove themselves to madness, just delightful.

Do you guys remeber that scene in Shakespear's play Macbeth were the natural order is imbalanced? Horses attack people, births are wrong, that whole thing with Macbeth not fitting the natural order of becoming a king. Well something like this happened to me today. Nothing quiet as dramatic or important but strange none the less. Today my parents gave me the "important" distinction of bitching out my brother for running off and not completing his chores. He does this every week and my parents are getting sick and tired of this. This sounds pathetic and it is! He is a 25 year old man, not a boy anymore, a man! He doesn't even have the common sense to get his chores done before he runs off. You know the natural order would dictate that the older brother bitches out the younger brother, not the other way around! It's not like he doesn't know what chores he has to do every week, or what times his friend will call so that they can "spar" (Everyone in the family speculates these sparring sessions are a outlet for repressed homosexual tendencies) he can do his chores ahead of time and still go "sparring". Well I guess he doesn't have the brains to do this. Must look good on that mixed martial arts forum he always visits though:
Cal:Guess what guys! I just got bitched out by my younger brother today for being a dumbass!
Random poster: Is he bigger then you? Why would a tough MMA guy such as yourself let himself get bithched out?
Cal:I don't know? Something about not doing chores.
Random poster:You must be not that tough if you can't even do chores and get bitched out by your younger brother! Man even my wife doen't have to nag me to do things! Come back when you actually grow a pair.
Or some other close facsimile of this. Well I hope you guys enjoyed that little rant and if you see some strange imbalance of the natural order you'll know why. :)

Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It's no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history.

Yeah, Par that was totally sweet. I made it in the Gateway too.
And when Par says "Look for me in the first issue of the Gateway, he means it in a "Where's Waldo?" sort of way and we're the obscure stuff like a suitcase or Waldo's left shoe, or something random like that.
