Oh yeah... I really STRONGLY encourage anyone even the SLIGHT BIT INTERESTED in seeing a couple bands tonight to come out to the Shark Tank. It's a great all-ages venue run by 2 of the most dedicated people in Edmonton's scene. They hardly make any money off of it, and they're having some rough times right now. Please please please come out and support these guys, you'd be doing all of us in the scene a HUGE favour. And also, their art gallery just opened as of last night.

Keep in mind that my band London Disturbance Force is also playing there on the 26th with The Hömewreckers and some other band (that has girls in it) from Calgary... except I forget their names. And I might ask the Pinup Girls to join the lineup if they're any good tonight.

Here's the full details on the show tonight:

    The Raygun Cowboys
Isolate The Radical [I mean, ITR...]
Panik Attak ['77 Punk 1st AA show]
The Pinup Girls [really, really cute girls, 1st show ever!]

    Members $7
(Non-Members is likely $8 and this includes getting your membership -noface)

    Doors @ 7:00
    Show @ 7:30

    Shark Tank ~ 10249 - 97 Street

besides... the Raygun Cowboys are headlining... and I don't want to see those guys anyway. But I DO want to see the openers: The Pinup Girls... kuz apparently they're a band composed of... believe it or not... GIRLS!!! And I've heard they're pretty cute. But that might just be marketing hype. I must verify this for myself. I seriously can't believe it though... a band with GIRLS? That's unheard of.

Oh, and, for the record. I have no idea how you people use internet explorer. If I wasn't getting paid to use this, I would go insane. I've only been surfing for about 15 minutes, and already the pop-ups and self-installing programs are driving me nuts.

...except I told James that I'd try and get some people out to the show at the Shark Tank tonight kuz they've apparently been REALLY hurtin lately. Dammit. BUTTTT.... doors are at 7, show at 7:30... so we could go buy our TAMALA 2010 tickets, walk across the street to the shark tank around 7 or 7:30, stay till close to 9 and then head back over to the Metro. Huh? HUH? SOUNDS GOOD HUH? YEAH!??? LESDOIT!

this taken from Vice's Guide to Fan-Fiction:

"Take The Transformers for example. Go to geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/4410/adult.html to enter the completely bizarre world of robots fucking. When I got to the story about Megatron and Soundwave (two of my favorite toys when I was in fifth grade) sucking each other’s dicks, I felt like my childhood had been raped at gunpoint. Why would anyone want to see Dinobot take Slasher Red from behind as he does in this story?"

unfortunately the site no longer exists...Petey my good man, where might one go about finding Hardcore Fanfixion of the Trans(sexual)former kind?

mmm... at the office on a Saturday... eating farmers' market samosas... mmm
the samosas pretty much make up for the office part, and I get to check my e-mail etc on a reliable and fast computer.

So, uh, I know it's game 6 tonight, and it could very well be the end of the hockey season, but does anyone want to do something tonight? My brother's getting a bunch of his friends together, and I really don't want to hang out with them. Besides, last night was enough of staying home and hanging with the fam.

Is anyone up for anything? It can be incredibly low budget, or whatever, soccer in the park, frisbee, marshmallow roasting, movie, watching the game, whatever...

    somebody, something? : )
