6 hours until takeoff.
As I don't have any sort of will I'll let you all know that if some horrible plane crash occurs and for some odd reason I don't survive, I don't want any sort of stupidly expensive funeral. If they do find my body just chuck it in the river, I really don't care. I wouldn't mind having a memorial stripper pole installed in Diamonds though... yeah, the Matt Beckett Memorial Stripper Pole.
And in case this comes to pass, here are my last words to you all:
Keri - I never stopped loving you
AD - Keep the porn
Par - Keep the flesh eating disease
Andy - I'm sorry for the loss of your gameboy
Jere - Finish up the season, Thornton must fight
Leo - I'll never forget that unforgettable night
Jess - I never stopped loving you
Albert - what?
Percy - what?
Alison - I never stopped loving you, I thought I did once, but it was just the flu
Gaah running out of time - everyone else, make something up...
James Randi - the million dollars for predicting my own death can be split up 1/4 to Keri, 1/4 to my dad, and 1/2 split between all my friends.
Hopefully see you all in a couple of weeks, if so, disregard this...

So it's official: moshing and crowd-surfing is illegal in Edmonton.
Apparently this law has been in effect for a few months now. Fucked up.

If you're bored go here to kill some time. It is like a curio shop of mixed things to keep you amused.

I love downhill battle, I almost ordered a T shirt from them, but then I found it in west ed.
But on another note, an awesome story:
You picked the wrong man
"A young punk who tried to mug an 88-year-old picked the wrong man -- his intended victim turned out to be a former boxing champion who knocked the attacker out cold.
"I was visiting a friend's grave when a young, long-haired man came up to me and demanded I hand over my money," said granddad Gerhard Brinkmann of Halberstadt, Germany, who was the country's top lightweight boxer in 1936.
"I told him to come closer if he wanted it and, as he did, I landed a full-force right hook on his chin."
Perry Bible has to be my most favorite strip out there:

DownhillBattle are also responsible for sending lumps of coal to the RIAA and MPAA for christmas, and did the Eyes on the Screen project to get the public to see, though in violation of copyright law, the civil rights doc Eyes on the Prize.
Also, if you have some time, here's a lecture by Michael Geist, a prominent Canadian copyright attorney. What interesting about this is his stance (which is very similar to Cory Doctorow, and he has some great insights, but it's also the debut of UToronto's Open Source/Open Access program, which broadcasts lectures on the internet.
(And, on the same lines, how to beat Napster)
