Mr. Dithers. An apt, if somewhat abrasive, description of Paul Martin's Prime Ministership. It does, of course, give him an out; that he was once a decisive leader and could do so again. Of course, incidents like this are less than helpful.
I'm not sure it matters yet, though. Stephen Harper is as ineffective as Martin, and neither of the other two parties matter (although, if all you wanted to go on was conviction and leadership, either Gilles Duceppe or Jack Layton would make far better candidates than Martin and Harper. If not for their politics, of course.)

Curse you, O foul Beckett!! I just wrote 'uniquities' in my outline.
Well, the one good thing about bloggers is, if there's a Daily Show clip about them, they're willing to post it. It's pretty low quality, but the spot with my favourite correspondent, Ted Hitl Stephen Colbert, is hilarious.
On a related note, I want to use the phrase "that's a five-stroker" more often in regular conversation.
(Oh, and I fixed eric's broken link. I now understand his obsession with posting text URLs without the hyperlinks.)

who messed up the links? this site is awful weird when everything's highlighted in blue...
well... what was I going to say now?...
oh, the Wild Tangerine is a fabulous place to eat... I think everyone but me from my family has been there, and they all love it. It's a tiny, cosy place to dine, and they don't particularly like large, loud groups, but that's just foodie snobbery for you. Still, the food is some of the best in the city... so I've been told.
and... damn you and your May concerts, I would love to join you all... and see the International Noise Conspiracy, but, hope against hope, I should be working in Lac La Biche at that time. stupid budgetary needs...

that Merlin guy also mentioned this one fusion restaurant which was recently on some best of 2004 list from where.ca
Wild Tangerine Cucina Domestica – Edmonton
Hip and funky are the two words that come to mind when you enter this newly-opened downtown
eatery, which also offers take-out. Tiled walls of black and white, with dabs of orange and glass
add to the tiny eatery’s atmosphere. But the artistry doesn’t stop there. Creative appetizers like
the grilled five-spice octopus salad, and shrimp lollipops with wasabi yogurt are presented in an
eye-catching,, imaginative way. Rave reviews for the red curry mussels with linguine and the
marsala-spiced lamb continue to pour in. North American staples like french fries and homemade
ketchup get the Tangerine-touch with the addition of star anise. Asked why, owner Wilson Wu
only smiles, “When you cook with love and respect, you can always make it better.”
Open Mon to Fri 11:30 am - 10:30 pm; Sat 5 pm - 11 pm.
Address: 10383-112 St. Edmonton Alberta

Um, yeah. Apparently the Publik is closed. Too communist. We can go to Overtime instead (the one right next to the library, right near the Publik). Same time and date (8:30, Friday).

Even with the change in plans for Par's birthday celebration location, driving plan still the same.
