hey Carls Junior, the fastest growing chain in North America, it might be hard to get people to come out to HALO- it's becoming a bit "played" if youknow what i mean. i didn't want to have to say that but that's just how it is.

the new cool is the secret American Apparel Party. bring ya Red Stripes!

speaking of tracks at the victory... remember we couldn't figure out what that one track Nik was spinning that had the lyrics "I'm learning to survive?". Well, I figured out why I knew it. It's the fucking CONSTANTINES. hahaha Shit. I swear, it's gotten to the point where I listen to so much music that when I hear songs I know, I can't think of who it is just because it could potentially be any one of the 50 different bands I discovered in the last little while. It's disconcerting in a way.

yeah Jere, that's "get up / say what" right? maybe it's a subliminal thing, cause that's what Nik K. was spinning that the night we played the Victory Lounge.
if you're getting up on the DFA 2 COMP, you'll be absolutely floored on the LCD SOUNDSYSTEM double disc.

So apparently Blink-182 broke up which is kinda sorta too bad considering their last album was basically the only good thing they produced in a loooong time.

Edmonton's own CHOKE will be featured on the cover of the next Exclaim!. Also, I'm between the covers of the current issue (the Bright Eyes ish) if any of you didn't already know.

Yeah, once you're about 20 or so, it's recommended that men get their prostate checked. I for one don't plan on having it done anytime soon... but I know a few people who have, and so do you (whether you realize it or not). I won't name names however...

But in comparing the two, I think prostate exams got gynecological exams beat. I mean, they go up there and take a little sample, and that's pretty much that right? I could be wrong, but that's the impression I got. I heard it was pretty quick.

Prostate exams on the other hand are much more traumatic, especially for homophobic males (which is roughly about 99.9999% of heterosexual men). Think about it; some dude puts on a rubber glove, inserts fingers all the way up your arsehole and wiggles it around until you get a hard on and cum all over the place. From what I know, the prostate is an errogenous zone and when you get it checked it's almost guaranteed that you'll ejacluate. How scary is that? Some strange dude sticks fingers up your ass and your physciological reaction is the same as if you just fucked a woman? That's gotta be totally psychologically damaging. The trauma would last for months at the least. I think almost all men would prefer to be raped at gun-point by a gang of fat ugly women than have their prostate checked; at least with the rape they don't have to worry about whether or not they're closeted faggots.

i don't know what it is with me and foreign films as of late, but I'm going to go to the 7pm showing of Bad Education (imdb site here) tomorrow evening at the Garneau. If anyone is interested, feel free to join me. I think it's $7 for students. There's another movie done by the same director: All About My Mother (IMDB again) that's also really worth looking at.

I've got to do something fun over reading week, so it's watching foreign films...
... yeah, I'm a little odd...

I also didn't check to see how many versions of yeah! is on this comp. It's messed.

While on the topic of welsh pronounciations, there is no better one to ask than a welshman himself... and I do seem to recall the W in welsh is said in northern french like two "o"'s
but in the south, I do believe it sounds more like "fuck you paras"... no wait "tubgirl" no... arrrgh, danm you tubgirl in all of your glory, isn't that right P?
