Tay you have been given many chances to go to something bigger and better. You can only blame yourself for not taking these chances by the balls and exploiting them. If another one of these chances comes and you "drop the ball" so to speak, go bang your head against the wall. Sides chances are small and they build on each other. Obviously Sam Weber took the chances and built on them. So stop complaining and go out and get some, can't do shit by just moping around here.

From Listen Records:
V/AÂ -Â The Beastie Collection Vol.1Â -Â Strictly Breaks - 2LP
      - "The Beasties always had beats, but never more so than on Paul's Boutique (with the help of the Dust Brothers). The first volume of The Beastie Collection focuses entirely on their classic sophomore release, including an entire side dedicated to the cut-and-pastery that is "Shake Your Rump." More Louie than Phil Rizzuto and Doris the Thinkasaurus." 34 tracks.
*Wolfnote - Sacred Bodies - Black Box - CD
      - Following the success of a critically acclaimed EP entitled "Si! Si! Si!" (Farway Records) and their debut full-length entitled "This Is The Getdown" released on Black Box Recordings in the summer of 2004, The Wolfnote are back with another groundbreaking, genre defying release‚ Sacred Bodies. This all-new collection of songs explores new areas of The Wolfnote's signature raw and gritty - yet danceable and well-refined sound. Described as a much darker effort, this record still relays all the passion and memorable hooks for which the band has become known. It is these catchy and passionate songs that have garnered them such great support from a cult of loyal fans, college and community radio, as well as support from some of the biggest and most well respected entertainment publications in the country. With all previous work being completely self produced, the most notable difference on this release is the presence of renowned producer Alex Newport, who's previous work includes At The Drive In, Mars Volta, The Melvins, Panthers, Curlupandie and Brazil. Newport brings a new dynamic to the bands production, focusing on translating their energetic and cathartic live performance to disc. This live performance is what the band have become most notorious for‚ consistently leaving audiences in awe, exhausted from dancing and becoming a first-hand subscriber to The Wolfnote's "Party Politik". This summer will be no different as they embark upon an extensive month-long tour of Canada in support of "Sacred Bodies". This will include a week long run of industry and media showcases in Southern Ontario in mid-August. This summer The Wolfnote unleashes another chapter in their quest for total and complete dance floor domination, an attempt to revolutionize the way people feel and think about music.

Hey Tony, from what I hear, head office put Brian on a hiring freeze because he hired so many people in such a short amount of time. He's trying to fight it though because the people are needed; there's no shortage of work, and some of the people he hired last month are gone already. We'll see what happens, I'm sure he's not trying to screw you on purpose.

tay, youknow how Ian MacKaye at Coachella sucked for you? well Coachella sucked for him too:
MacKaye has pinpointed his own conversion to a concert he saw at Georgetown University as a 16-year-old. “I saw the Cramps there in January of 1979, he told online magazine CokemachineGlow. “One of the greatest shows I’ve ever been to in my life. Coachella, on the other hand, was not: “The guy who asked that question about the beer tent was one of the Jackass guys disguised in a mullet wig, he says. “I think they expected me to get mad.
from the Ian MacKaye vs Eon McKai article in the Washington City Paper
for those of you who don't know who Eon is, he's the guy that did that sweet ass Suicide Girls Louis XIV video i posted up awhile ago, and that rad Kill Girl Kill / Art Sluts series that cobrasnakers party to.

I know, I've been playing the hermit game a little too well lately. But next week, for sure, I'll stop in at Wunderbar to catch some of your dj-ing. And I'll have your copy of my 'Best of Junior High' compilation.
So it seems that my time at Culligan was over before it even began. I was supposed to start on Tuesday, but then I get a call from Brian saying that he wasn't allowed to hire me. Then he calls me again a bit later to say that I was hired, and that he'd phone back to set something up for either Wednesday or Thursday. And I still have yet to hear from him. Not that I still care by this point.
And yes, I have to agree that Talkie Walkie is an awesome album.
