So as many of you already know, I've been working to organise an outing to Canada Olympic Park for a day on the luge track, but after a couple of cancellations, we've still got room for a couple more adventurous types. Here's the details:

When: December 29, leaving town for Calgary @ 9:30-10am
Cost: $49 for luge action, maybe another $20 for food and fuel (Paras is covering the transportation)

So if you're into it and time permits, let me know within about a week so I can get things booked and ready to go.

Were not getting old, some of us are still planning to get a car which goes too fast and only has enough room for 2 people. Hmm... Sounds like a midlife crisis type car, maybe we are getting too old.

so, from the blog linked in Par's post: (funniest shit ever)

"6:55 PM - A special blog annotated for the benefit of Jason Kenney and the Conservative war room, just to avoid confusion:

Had a good day in Quebec (a predominantly French-speaking province on the right-hand side of Ontario). Introduced the candidacy of Marc Garneau, the first Canadian in space (the expanse beyond Earth's atmosphere in which the solar system, stars and galaxies exist). PM gave a speech at a Chamber of Commerce (the exhange or buying and selling of goods, commodities, property or services to produce material wealth). Now we're going out on the town in Montreal to have a gay (frivolous), old time."

and... did anyone else enjoy the Daily Show and Colbert Report last night? top notch info on the Canadian political situation, particularly from Samantha Bee
